BTW, before it stats, Obama was too young for the draft, or ‘Nam, but had lived around the world, and also worked in the inner city to help truly needy people. He, yes, got a law degree and made money, as most lawyers do. What he ALSO did as Commander in Chief, was let the military do the jobs they were trained to do, ended a war (yes on a timetable Bush signed off on, but other Republicans were resisting, and furious about!) He’s also pulling us out of the other idiocy to protect our troops, and even Mittens has now agreed it’s the right thing to do! (Much to the dismay of the military-industrial complex, and other Republicans.)
Remember, in Willard’s recorded ’It’s not my job to worry about those people’ speech, later he stated that there was no solution to the Israel/Palestine problem, that the best we can do is to kick the can down the road.-And don’t forget that Willard states that Syria is Iran’s gateway to the sea.-Yeah, he’s got LOTS of foreign policy experience.
BTW: the Pentagon officer in charge of armor said he doesn’t NEED 2,000 M-1 tanks sitting in the southwest desert “upgraded” at the cost of $4 BILLION, because he’s already GOT more tanks than he can use! It’s those geniuses in Congress saying we have to throw those billions down the tube called “military-industrial complex”, just like with many other “weapons systems” we don’t need, or that DON’T WORK!
DARPA HAS given us some really neat stuff, but those contracts for TRILLIONS of dollars over the years, have also given us HUGE amounts of trash. Aviation Week in the current editorial calls on PRIVATE INDUSTRY to again invest THEIR OWN money into research and development, instead of making the TAXPAYERS assume all risk of failure, at “cost plus”.
Bill Boeing invested his OWN MONEY to design and develop the B-17 and sell that venerable aircraft to the Army Air Force. The B-52 remains our only truly “reliable” bomber in our fleet, and is a design over 50 years old! How come all those “cost plus” items, like B-1, and B-2, are pieces of junk that can NOT be relied upon?

Poking fun at Romney over this issue makes the 2008 criticism of Obama valid, even tho the last 4 years show Obama to have been a very good student.We need less poll tracking and more dedication to finding out the specifics of what these men plan to do and if the legislature is going to work with them. Colin Powell and I think Obama is more qualified, but I think Mr. Powell, like me, would have preferred another option. Apologies to General Powell for saying his name and I in the same sentence.
