I think that we should all stop and pay tribute to Willard’s five sons, who spent so much time ‘serving their country’ by campaigning for Willard, sometimes risking life and limb driving around in a Winnebago.-Evidently, being a ChickenHawk is heredity.

fathers in England get their sons to break in their new shoes for them. the very rich have always been able to find a way around military service. Geo. Bush Jr. went to war against Iraq to defend his father from Saddam H. unnecessary, immoral, beginning the endless debt…if you wouldn’t buy a used car from a candidate, why would you give them the keys to the Presidency?

Danziger makes fun of this young man for being loyal to his father and as tired of the political attack ads as all of us. His art and wit would be better applied elsewhere. I do wish the interviewer had asked the youth how he felt about the way his dad calling the President of the United States a liar. Tho, since a South Carolina Republican had already done it during a State of the Union Address, some people might think it is ok. I was taught that you are to respect the office of the Presidency and therefore treat that officeholder with respect, even if, like Harrison Ford’s character in Clear and Present Danger, you know him to be corrupt and criminal. This is another non issue. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of Obama’s daughters might, if questioned by the media, indicate some level of displeasure with her father’s opponents. I would not expect that to reflect on Obama, and i do not judge Romney by his son. I have plenty of file footage on hand to judge both candidates and I will be supporting Obama.Respectfully,C.

Danziger is one of the artists whose work has effected me emotionally in the past. At one time, I could read his more partisan comments and still chuckle, as I did Henry Payne’s conservative toons. Since my surgery and my increased level of reading and postings on these forums, I have become more sensitive to how these artists, in appealing to so many extreme views, add to the rudeness and intractability of the debate rather than unifying people into finding a common purpose.I really need to find a better forum where the conversation can evolve into ideas rather than this rolling in the mud that so often occurs here. I know a couple of folks who would be glad to see me gone.Maybe then I can look at these for the joke instead of the pain it inflicts on our discourse.Respectfully,C.
