Funny how Romney and the rest of the “Anybody but Romney” Conservatives can’t understand that an “Act of Terror” doesn’t need to have a terrorist organization behind it.Just look at the terrorist attack in Aurora, Co. Because of a video. Right? And BTW, the riots in Cairo were about the video. When riots broke out in Benghazi, immediately after, why wouldn’t anyone assume that they were connected?

Obama called it an act of terror on the 12th. After that, it becomes murkier. We know now that it was a planned attack and Libya has released a picture of a terrorist leader seen during the attack. When I first heard about the attack, I thought it was a terror attack using protestors as cover, but Libya had no protests because of the video since most Libyans like us.Apparently, there was no mob and it was an attack planned for Sept 11 and/or as revenge for the death of another terrorist leader and knowing Ambassador Stevens was present. It is tragic and sad and should unify us in purpose instead of adding to the divisions. Since I can’t get access to the NSA’s control room, I don’t know why there was so much confusion. Was it because Obama was looking for political cover? maybe, but history shows these things ultimately reach the light of day and I like to think he’s smarter than that. Were they patiently waiting for more information, or did they have all the info they needed but didn’t want our enemies to know? I don’t know. Obama may have dropped the ball on this one, but he wouldn’t be the first president to do so. What would Romney have done in the same situation? If he becomes President, he will, considering the nature of our enemies, probably have a chance. If so, I hope he shows us how it should be done. I do not want my elected officials to continue failing us. We deserve better.Respectfully,C.

Ramirez should start his own news site. Do it all in cartoons. He’d wipe out the MSM

The Republican Party devalues women and workers. Why anyone exept a straight, millionaire male would vote for the GOP is beyond me.

Interesting letter from a resident of Benghazi forwarded to Juan Cole’s site. It is impossible to tell if the attack was unrelated to the protest even now, but Al Quaeda appears to be a very unlikely culprit in the view of the correspondent.

The U.S. war on Islam, ’er, excuse me, “terrorism” began in real earnest in 1991 when GHW Bush “dropped the ball”, by not telling Saddam to NOT invade Kuwait as it was just “an Arab on Arab thing”.

But it goes back thousands of years to that “Hebrew on Arab” thing, which many centuries later became that “Christian versus Muslim thing”.

Obama DID call it right on 9/12. That demonstrations around several countries DID contribute to the cover story the attackers, yes “terrorists”, played a role IS true, but the obfuscation, distortions, and confusion about what went wrong DO need to be resolved. Cartoonists and “pundits” don’t hold the answers.

I can see why you’d give it that perspective. I suggest another slant, he was talking about all acts of terrorism. I also suggest he didn’t have enough information to confidently speak to the American people. One more possibility, for the same reason the police don’t talk to the press till they have a line on their suspect or they need help to find the suspect, Obama wanted our security agencies and those of our allies to give us more complete info through phone records and satellite imaging as well as friends and allies on the ground.. He may be playing a game of covering his butt…I don’t think so. I think he takes this too seriously.Respectfully,C.

The deflectors are frothing at the mouth. The song that was sung by those loyal to Obama: ‘It was the video and Not Our Fault’This behavior needs to be replaced.

So we declare war on Libya now? Or do we invade Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States, since that is where most of the money backing extremists come from.Anyone who thinks fighting terrorism is anything like a war between sovereign nations is clueless.

I don’t think Romney meant to say Binders full of Women or some of his other semantic mistakes and on the binder toons have suggested we move to more important issues NOT requiring diagraming sentences…tho not in those words.I saw a president coping with the loss of a man he admired and knew well from many conversations in the white house. I saw a man still receiving info on the attack. You think I’m trying to defend the administration but I’m screaming for the committee sitting on the money to protect these places to release it.Personally, I’m mad as hell. I am disappointed Obama hasn’t used his Saturday address to lambaste the opposition for not being bipartisan. I would also like to see him call out ppl like Pelosi and tell her she’s not being helpful by being arrogant as she was in 2008.While we’re at it, the radio news said some committee has released documents which reveal the names of Libyans who have been helpful to us in Libya while putting more info out there for us to yell at each other about. The Republicans did something similar to Valerie Plame and endangered her sources. If true, this is far worse than the cover up you feel is happening.C.

Nope, he did not say it was done by terrorists. He said acts of terror and exactly what he meant by that is being feverishly debated as is what Romney said about Binders of women. The fact of the matter, no matter how Obama was describing it, he had activated the proper agencies to deal with it. Where covert ops and foreign policy is concerned, I prefer a leader who takes time to study before slowly raising the rifle to his shoulder and aiming carefully. Obama’s not doing this to my satisfaction either, but it beats shooting from ‘lip’ as your candidate so often does.Usually when I state how I’ll vote it is to point out that I’m about to defend Romney or a policy from what I feel to be an unfair attack. I didn’t hear anybody blaming anyone. Obama said it was his responsibility, Biden said they had not received all of the information. But I LOVE vaudville. Respectfully,C.

Obama administration has continued to dismantle al Qaeda leadership by picking off top commanders. More drone strikes at al Qaeda in four years than whole previous administration combined. 70%+ of top al Qaeda command removed from field. – Atiyah Abd Al Rahman, top al Qaeda leader, killed by drone strike on August 22, 2011. – Osama bin Laden, killed with no US casualties on May 2, 2011. – Anwar al-Awlaki, the American traitor cleric tied to Fort Hood shooter and Times Square bomber, killed by American drone attack in Yemen on September 30, 2011. – Abu Yahya al-Libi, al Qaeda second-in-command, killed by American drone attack in Waziristan on June 5, 2012.The attack in Benghazi possibly in revenge for al-Libi (who was a Libyan) by rogue splinter groups.

You say WSJ is not a “bastion of conservative thought”? And then you use a link from Fox Bret Baier? And earlier use one from Breitbart? You don’t want us to take you seriously, correct?
