Alix: What's in YOUR lunch?
Girl: Reese's cups, M&M's, Skittles, Butterfinger, Milk Duds...
Girl: There might be a sandwich in here somewhere...
Alix: Who cares?!
I learned as a kid, that after a couple of sweets on a mildly empty stomach, I actually DID feel sick. How many 10 y/o’s do you know that actually agree with their folks when they say one piece a night after dinner?
BobBlumenfeld, no she won’t. You can reference the name of an item without getting sued for trademark violation. And I seriously doubt that Hershey’s wants to file a lawsuit against a friggin cartoonist and get that kind of bad press.
I estimate that if I allowed my kids only 1 piece a night, they would still be eating Halloween candy at Easter. I allow 3 pieces at a time, up to 4 times a day. After the first week they can fill a quart sized bag with the part of their plunder they get to keep. The remainder goes away (usually to work).
My one-year old granddaughter took her first steps yesterday when her 4 year old brother dumped his Halloween haul on the coffee table! She saw the goods and just hussled over to grab a share! True, and so funny!!

Oh, is Jan ever going to get polite notes from at least some of those brands for not using the proper trademark symbols.

With most candy, it isn’t the sugar that makes you sick. It’s all the corn syrup and artificial ingredients.
