    Imagine the responsibility of being able to stop every crime, 24/7? If you cared any more than Capt. V you’d go insane. I could never handle it; take an hour of “me” time and people die. Overwhelming.

    Career heroes don’t get the respect and support they’re promised from the people or the government in our world, so I don’t expect superheroes to be treated any differently in theirs. I expect the motivations of supers in their world would be the same for normal people in ours. Many things that could be done with enough motivation won’t be because there’s not enough motivation. A few people have super motivation and accomplish super things, but they’re not enough, nor should they be. They’ve done so much and deserve some rest. But they won’t because if they don’t act, who will? Not enough. So the status quo is maintained.
