As a supermarket cashier, I LOVE the idea! People are creeps when it comes to express: 20 cans of cat food is NOT one item! “Oh, I only have a few more” does not mean 10 more. When does express become “non-express!” My stomach churns when I realize I have to be on that lane…People are really, really lazy and creepy.
What gags me is when I’m lining up on the 10-or-fewer lane and the express cashier calls over the person who’s doing their once-a-month grocery shopping into the express lane! What, the clerk can’t count, either!?
