I don’t know why I get caught up in these reality comic strips.

I think I’ll join the circus. Does anyone have the phone number of the O’Connor Circus? Is that the one where the pig on wheels was spotted?

To the tune of “White Rabbit”

In one panel it is larger In another it is small Just look at what they put us through It doesn’t makes any sense at all Don’t ask Locher He isn’t on the ball And he seems to have the habit Of going nowhere at all The story is loaded with useless filler Like he has a need to stall Dick Locher Doesn’t seem to care at all When those who comment on this board Tell you it is time you should go Your writing is god-awful And the stories are moving slow Is it malice That’s all we want to know “When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead” You just might try writing it backwards It would probably make more sense when read And no matter what lies ahead We will dread, we will dread

    Apologies to Jefferson Airplane

As I roll my last cigarette and fade into the sunset, I’ll always remember Chris Chendo’s parting words, “Leave it to me to strike the right chord.”

    Touching words, aren’t they?

Why do Locher/Brozman feel the need to have everyone address each other with first and last names?

That’s what the great “Dick Tracy” has become after so many wonderful years of entertainment…Pun City USA!

It’s getting too ridiculous for words!

oh, give him some credit, ‘night music’ clearly is a reference to ‘Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”–

just because his stories or artwork don’t always hold up to scrutiny doesn’t qualify him as complete idiot

Does Chris think a Strad is a guitar? (Maybe he’s thinking Strato, as in Stratocaster? ) Since when do you ‘strike’ a chord on a violin? Last I heard, you can bow a chord, or play a single note pizzicato.

I need to put a scarf on. It’s the new cool thing. Everyone’s wearing them! Even indoors!

Ludwig, if Locher didn’t do that, he’d worry that you would miss the sheer fall-on-the-floor hilarity of the names he gives the characters.

Joe, what I meant was why is everyone referring to each other using their full names instead of just “Phil” or “Virgil”.
