    Actually, one of the trickiest problems in designing a computer processor architecture at the “ones” and “zeros” level is to get it to self start when you turn it on.

    “Cranky” has an advantage sometimes–it (he? she?) doesn’t have to worry about a starter battery going dead.

    Hopefully you wouldn’t get run over like the old cars could do if you didn’t have them in neutral.

    Ah yes, but I do miss having the “Stick-Shift” advantage of a rolling-start when the battery went dead.

    Can any automatic trans car be started in such a way ??
