Oh my goodness! This is fantastic. I’ve gotta give props to Tom Wilson for having a sense of humor about this. I think I’ll pay tribute to him by walking around pantsless in public today.

Now that’s another cartoonist that listens to his/her fans!

Our long national nightmare is at last coming to an end…

The last time it looks like Ziggy wore a pair of pants was Sunday,June 7th from what I saw here on the ucomics site!

Him and Winnie the Pooh! But he’s not “real”. And those cavemen in B.C. are always strutting around mostly nude! Something must be done!

Hey, signs in businesses say shoes & shirts required, nothing about pants. But then, he doesn’t wear shoes either.

Rat is using guard duck’s military knowledge to “persuade” others to come to his side.

Ahhh. Here it is! Brilliant. The pants complaint becomes, within the Ziggy universe, yet another trial to be endured by the pantsless one.

he could be wearing skin tight leotards that just happen to be the same color as his face….. but that would be even weirder

I don’t read PBW, but I do agree that it’s about time he put some pants on…and kept them on.

I think it’s part of Ziggy’s persona to not wear pants. In his universe everything turns against him, he lives a sad life. Maybe the fact that he doesn’t wear pants is due to his low self esteem. I don’t think they will ever put pants on him regularly since it’s part of his trademark. I know that whether he wears pants or not I love him because I can relate to him.

I read Pearls Before Swine so I know about that whole story line, but I didn’t expect Ziggy to actually start becoming involved in it.

Umm…it’s not the same that the Pearls Before Swine characters don’t wear pants–except maybe Pastis. They are animals, and animals, so far as I see, don’t wear pants. People, at least in daily life, do.

ZIGGY’S A CROSS DRESSER!!

Not to get maudlin or anything, but not too long ago cartoonists were very anonymous, especially invisible to readers. I love the community aspects of comics now.

Zig has been going without pants for decades; if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Where do you find Pearls Before Swine comic strips? I tried to find free comic that had Funky Winkerbean, but couldn’t. I did find a site that I could put under my Favorites, but I have to remember to check it daily.

This is the hardest I’ve laughed at a strip in ages. The ongoing lead-up all these weeks helped, but still…

Pearls Before Swine has plenty of issues of its own, and should focus on itself instead of Ziggy and Family Circus to pick on all the time. Ziggy being as old as it is, doesn’t have to put up with anything from any other comic strip. Make his shirts even shorter from now on, Tom &Tom. It’s no worse than fat girls in mini skirts and short shirts!
