Looks like a case of creating a hostile work environment.

In my experience it’s the boss that’s most likly to park on top of the cubical wall to chat when I have work to do.

I had that happen too. I knew if I didn’t avoid this lady, I would be standing there for half an hour without even the chance to say ‘I got work to do’.
Is this a promotion for you or is he just moving to your department?

Well, at least it will be a little warmer. But, I hear you there too. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and you have to remember that not every one is. Sometimes you have to just grit your teeth and go back and do it yourself if you have time. Good luck!

Best boss I ever had had a “kill them with kindness” attitude. If he needed something and you were frivolously chatting with someone, he would walk away, and come back. If it was important, he would say, “See me when you are through.” If you did something substandard, he would have you sit and watch him tear it apart, rebuild it, and then have you explain the difference between what you did and his work and why his might be better or worse.
