A nominated finalist for the Pulitzer 6 times since 1999, Chattanooga Times Free Press cartoonist Clay Bennett won the Prize in 2002. He has also earned just about every other editorial cartoon award there is, including the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award, the John Fischetti Editorial Cartoon Competition, the Overseas Press Club's Thomas Nast Award, the National Headliner Award, the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi Award, the National Journalism Award from the Scripps Howard Foundation, and the National Cartoonists Society Division Award for Best Editorial Cartoons. Bennett was also named Editorial Cartoonist of the Year by Editor & Publisher magazine in 2001.

It’s amazing how quickly a a sex scandal can bring down the powerful. Would going to hookers be more acceptable? Powerful women, as scarce as they are, seen to avoid this kind of thing.

A country, and media, and morons, that put more emphasis on this indiscreet moment, and emails, brought to light by a woman that wants to be the next version of “The Kardasians”, doesn’t deserve the service of such men as Petraeus, Allen, or any of our other brave men and women in the one percent that REALLY should count, our military and their families.

@walruscarver2000 You bet, My Neighbor. A US Marine who served in Nam as forward observer for the USS New Jersey. He also cleared the enemy from Hue after the failed Tet Offensive. He can’t hear, was hospitalized, wounded three times, he has the scars and no purple heart. (He did not falsely accuse his fellow countrymen of crimes)

As the father of two daughters, I have to agree. Dudes can be such dogs.
Too bad this is such a juicy soap opera. The fact that Ms. Broadwell had in her possession classified documents makes this more serious than a mere sexual indiscretion, and questions raised by Ms. Kelly’s part in all of this only makes it more salacious.
Amazing how the people struggling with the aftermath of Sandy are getting less attention than two women fighting over a married man. I’m glad there’ nothing important going on in the world or we might be missing something.
