    Here are some stats.

    132,183 schools

    54,876,000 kids in school

avg length of school day 6.7 hours

number of shootings “at school” in 2014 30

Now – please – can some statistician calculate the “chance” of being at a school that will be the next statistic?

no one is rationalizing anything Dude.

You want to keep the people in constant fear when the likelihood of being in a school shooting incident is not so statistically probable.

Why do we not have adequate protection on campus?

How does an armed child wander onto school grounds armed to the teeth with no one noticing?

What can we do to prevent that from happening in the future?

Oh yeah. Enforce the laws already on the books.

So lying about the issue is acceptable? Charles C. Johnson got curious and reported how much the left is willing to lie.

Another fake shooting listed by Everytown gun map was drug related, not on campus.
Another fake shooting listed by everytown. A gunman ran onto campus, was chased by police, shot student accidentally
Another fake school shooting listed by everytown. 19-year-old shot in elementary parking lot over dice game at 9 PM

    and the list goes on…..

So you say: “The only acceptable number is zero school shootings.”

At least we can agree on that.

How do you accomplish that goal? Here is one way that will separate us again IMO.

Every single person that commits murder by entering a “gun free zone” school and shooting children is captured, taken out front of the school and shot in the head on PBS.

I know, I’m a vicious hateful person. Those shooters are “sick” and need “professional help” to be “cured” and sent back into society.

But one truth you can not hide from. A murderer who is dead can not murder again.

Effective prompt final judgement and execution is a deterrent. Whereas decades in jail on death row using tax payer funds to submit appeal after appeal is not.

No I do NOT care that the shooter is 16.

Bruce’s totally impractical and vengeful idea would never work, because it’s blatantly unconstitutional. How about we have real background check laws. When a person causes a mass shooting, we go after not only that person, but also the person who supplied him with the guns and ammo. It might make people more careful who they arm.

The laws – including background checks – are already there. You may want to take the time to read those in your local area.

What is lacking is the intestinal fortitude to do what needs to be done.

You kill a rabid wolf before it can bite you …. again.

Execute the parent with the shooter
(skitch, skatch) I seem to recall certain (um) governments who would execute family members for the transgressions of one of their own. Or round up a number of neighbors to serve as an example, if no family member is available.
Wow, you guys are something else. You actually believe the stuff you spew.

Yeah, boy, we gotta keep an eye out for all those rabid wolfs. Like maybe that guy coming into Chili’s with an AR-15 ain’t really so nice at all. The solution? The ScumSchnorkel 2000, guaranteed to sniff out those Bad Guys With A Gun, so all you Good Guys With A Gun can stand your ground and punch his ticket before he takes out Aunt Mildred.

and so once again you use hyperbole to try and cast aspersions …..

A rabid wolf is one sick puppy out of the pack. If allowed to remain within the pack it will infect others and the pack will cease to exist.

And the sad part is that it is preventable but no one seems to be willing to administer the vaccine.

There is a last resort cure as well. Again, no one is willing to apply it.

    I get it.
