OH PLEASE, I had a fast food job in junior college. No one lived in a box. They lived with their parents like me or had several roomies. We all had goals for doing more with our lives. Fix the economy by making companies want to do manufacturing in the USA again, so fast food work can be entry level position is truly is and a learning experience that can transfer to better and better employment. All an increase will do now is make the unemployment rate go up again and the people who get an increase will feel better off for about a month until prices ratchet up to cover it and they will be right where they were before, relatively speaking. The people who suffer in that situation are retired people on fixed incomes whose money is now worth even less.

How many small franchise businesses has Britt run? Does he have any idea what the profit margin is for these small buinsessmen? Probably not, then he would have to come up with an informed idea for a cartoon.

Victoria, who obviously worked while in college, sounds like a spoiled brat of a high wage earner?? You are right about one thing Parker, that was ugly of you to say, and you sure made plenty of baseless accusations at someone sharing their opinion. Funny that you did that right after defending Britt’s right to do the same. You can’t blame companies for following federal laws on minimum wage, but they are such easy targets aren’t they? If an lazy janitor at Macy’s fails to put out the wet floor sign and someone falls, you are the type of person to go after the one with deep pockets, Macy’s, instead of the actual culprit. Do you honestly not see this un-ethical approach for what it is?

Victoria says, “The people who suffer in that situation are retired people on fixed incomes whose money is now worth even less.” I agree. If the only people who work at McDonalds, etc., were high school or college students living at home and working part time, then maybe the pay wouldn’t be such a scandal. But there are people working those jobs who have retired without enough pension or who have been laid off in the recession and who need to earn a decent full time wage.

LIBS AVOID INTELLIGENT THOUGHT TO EXPRESS THEIR HATE AND PREJUDICE.

AND GIVE SWEETHEART DEALS TO BUY UNION VOTES.

THUS THOSE NOT BELONGING TO A UNION PAY FOR UNION MEDICAL PLANS.

if OBAMA CARE IS SO GREAT, WHY DON’T UNIONS HAVE TO PAY THE SAME PRICE, NON UNIONISTS PAY? AND OBAMA AND LEGISLATORS DON’T BUY OBAMA CARE EITHER.
