Oh, dear…I am currently looking at Gocomics while on the job…
I had a sleuthing idea and wonder if any of you had tried this yet. I just visited the DC Fire Department website (DCFD.com) and it has very thorough incident reports for each year which include civilian and firefighter injuries. Since I am at work (working hard as you can tell) I didn’t look around for long. Does anyone remember any specifics about when Aaron was injured and in what type of incident? I did locate 2-3 different Aarons on executive orders for past promotions.

Uh, I work in tech support and I’ve never heard of a tech support that supports smoothie makers before.

P.S. to AnonaMouse and mollie (I think it was you two): I certainly have an open mind regarding the theories that you offered several days ago. I really would just like to know one way or the other.

@catsarge
He and his partner Gabe were hit by a driver on the freeway when responding to a call. The police hadn’t arrived to avert traffic as they were suppose to, so they had no back up for that. As far as I know they never caught the hit and run driver. Hope that helps.
Hello to Lightenup and all you Cathy Fans out there.

@catsarge
That sounds very positive – if he was injured while at work, that should be in the archives. Definitely worth a look!

So would I, catsarge10. I hope Aaron and Billy are still reading these pages, wherever they are, and will come back to say Hello soon.

Just a thought: Aaron was a member here first. I seem to remember Billy saying that he had joined later, mainly to give information about Aaron’s injuries in an accident. That could give us a rough time scale to make searching easier.

Aaron joined Feb 10th 2009, and Billy on Nov 2nd 2011. So late Oct – early Nov 2011 would seem to be the time to look for the incident they reported.

I found that website a couple of weeks ago and searched through the month of October first to see if there were any firefighter injuries (nothing of note that I recall). Aaron and Gabe’s crash occurred on June 4, 2012, I think and I didn’t see anything for June either. The crash was when another motorist didn’t see or hear their emergency vehicle and t-boned them, I believe.
Sorry, I should have mentioned this earlier. I probably meant to, and got sidetracked on something else.
