Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

Why would she want to sell her garage? At least she’s not selling her yard.
Okay, I’m done now. :-D
Billy is due home in a couple hours. I checked traffic on Google Maps. He’s got smooth sailing home from Baltimore. Mom and Dad arrived last night. I brought LMB home from his buddies on campus. He licked my face for a whole minute when I picked him up. He’ll be running on the beach in a matter of hours.
Morning Susan when you arrive. lightenup STILL having too much fun. Mom! loved your comment overnight. Love your Pooh avatar too. Hellow fellow Cathyites welcome to the almost-weekend.

Betcha Cathy’s junk didn’t depreciate in value as much as stocks, bonds, and dot-coms.
Except for the shoes if Electra got to them.
Good morning, Aaron, Billy, Lightenup, KFG, GsMom, and the rest of the “Cathy” nuts.

Are you posting this same annoying message on every Go Comics site today . . . or just the ones I visit every day???!!!
P.S.: Please stop SHOUTING! It’s rude!!!!!

Only Cathy’s accountant can make being broke due to ridiculous overspending on things she probably didn’t really need sound like it’s a good thing!
It sure is quiet here today! Where is everybody??? Happy Friday, Aaron, Dr. Billy, lightenup, K.F.G., Susan, rgcviper, gmforde, lindz.coop, hendelca and all the rest of the “Cathy” fanatics that may be lurking around out there tonight. Hope you all had a good week!

Hi, Aaron!!!!!
No matter how old I get, some things never change . . . like my love for Charlie Brown and the Gang, Scooby-Doo, Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny . . . and Winnie The Pooh! ;-)

Like anything on the Internet, this is a multi-cultural / multi-national space. DO NOT thrust your evangelical messages at places like GoComics. A time and a place for everything AND THIS IS NOT IT. And I’m a Christian, but you offend my senses when you don’t consider who your audiance is. THAT’S the surest way for people to tune you out. I am now doing so.

Geez Mom! that was pretty rude of me, I’m sure, but I hate it. How can a good man be taken seriously in his life when THAT is shoved down our throats. I’m glad you spoke up. I have spoken up by flagging his message, though it has done no good. A time and a place, that’s all I’m saying.
End of rant. Sigh.
I hope I’m never too old to still love Charlie Brown (all of it, not just Snoopy though I’m partial to him for obvious reasons), Scooby Doo (who is on TV right now), Disney characters who became friends as I grew up, that Wascally Wabbit et al, and Pooh. Pooh sits in a chair in our townhouse, right next to the window in our office space. LMB loves him and sometimes drags him around the house. :-D So sweet.
Love you Mom. See you tomorrow :-)

Cathy’s actions being logical and making sense (kinda)? The world is spinning out of control! (lol)
Hello, everyone … and Happy Friday.

Of course I agree with Aaron’s comments. The most heartwarming comic I read today was young Michael in FBOFW. A little gem that one. However, THE BEST thing I read (or heard) anywhere at anytime today was this little bit from the Navy airman after his jet crashed in Virginia Beach this afternoon:
“I’m so sorry I crashed into your building,” rescuer Pat Kavanaugh quoted the airman as saying. Kavanaugh told CNN he found the airman still strapped into his ejection seat and parachute. He said he and neighbors picked up the seat and carried the pilot away from the flames.
If the Navy pressed action against the airman, Aaron and I would be first to stand in a line and protest for his poor treatment. THAT, boys and girls, is a good Christian heart if I ever saw one.

Final thought for the evening: We both hate the political jibber jabber as much as we do the religious jibber jabber, just so y’all know where we stand on life. Friend Aaron especially is a man of actions, not preaching. He’d save anyone’s butt no matter their religious or political views. Others may not be so non-judgemental.

Thanks for saying it best Aaron. I’m a Christian too, but I don’t feel a need to ram it down everyone else’s throat. I too flagged his message (for what it’s worth).

Hi Cathyites!! I think it is so ironically hilarious that Cathy (and the accountant) are absolutely right. She’s broke, she’s always broke, she’s used to being broke and she didn’t lose everything she owns trying to get rich. This is one place I so totally agree with Cathy!!
