You are right Hobbes, Cavin’s mother will be bothered. Also molested, angry, irate, and in a very dark mood.

As Harry Anderson always said, “Well, we didn’t expect that now, did we?”

Dad was off by about nine years.

(today’s strip originally aired in 1989)

On that note, didn’t Bill Watterson take a break from writing C&H for a while sometime in 1994 (I’m pretty sure that’s the year we would currently be getting repeats here and in the papers) before returning for one final year in 1995? Because the copyright disclaimer on today’s strip still references 1994 as far as I can tell…

For those who cannot wait for the denouement of this little scene, see, coincidentally, Tuesday, June 10, 1994.

“That kid and tiger are stronger than they look.”

I think Hobbes put in most of the effort.

Is it healthy for me to read that small writing?

So what with the reruns. Why criticize a creative genius for something they do all the time on television?

Read small writing?? Yes: good for you – worry only when you can no longer understand the words.

It could be a standard left in neutral and if Mom forgot the hand brake, well….
