Good to see Calvin has a realistic take on life.

I don’t know Calvin…that math homework is going to hang over your head all night…this time it won’t be a dream! ;)

Calvin is just an avoider. He will produce any irrationalization to not do the work assigned.

I resemble that remark! Sir, loin thy girds… er, gird thy loins… er, never mind. Too much trouble.

This year, it certainly might. From what I hear. Where I live we had 25ºC yesterday, here in S. Europe. I’ve been reading Laura Ingalls Wilder’s “The Long Winter” as a gesture of solidarity.

Don’t think he likes school much at all. Probably bores him to tears.

I love C&H and Bill Watterson’s wit, but The Simpsons aired an episode in which Bart went through this same type of thing three and a half years before this strip series. Probably one of the earliest instances where you can say, “Simpsons did it.”

It must be great reading C&H for the first time. This strip started in 1985 and probably predates your Simpsons episode by 20 years.

The Simpson’s started in 1989 and Calvin & Hobbes ran from ‘85 to ’95. The episode that Zac Rutter is referring to I believe was the first episode of the second season. I don’t know the original date of this strip but it is very possible that it pre-dates this strip.

Like Calvin, I’m afraid I always look at the easier alternative and ignore ‘tomorrow’.

As a result, my blood pressure’s low and I have all my own hair.

The problem with living in the here-and-now is that that’s where all the problems gang up on you!

You’ll have plenty to worry about when you go back to school the next day

As so aptly Hobbes has said, “It’s always later until it’s right now…!”
