Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Lie down and hold onto the grass. Realize that you are looking straight down. Don’t let go of the grass.

@somebodyshort, that never worked for me. I always went sailing off into the cosmos. Not sure when I’m due back.

Wonderful concept! Only thing better is to hold onto somebody else and let the grass fend for itself.

Only problem is, the majority of people in the world today can NOT see the stars very well – if at all – due to the light pollution from all the cities that they live in.

@Evil Rat
I grew up in a populous urban area and could see only a few stars in the night sky.
The first time I spent a night in the Rocky Mountains the night sky scared the pants off of me!

Actually, you are looking back (in time). If you’re not careful you could go flying back in history.

Not a pretty sight, that.

Seems like looking at the stars at night would be a good compliment to looking under rocks in the creek all day.

You mean other people would also be looking under rocks all day too if they looked at the stars all night?
