Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

I just saw a picture of the Hawaii quarter they will have later this year. The first thing I thought of was the Calvin strip with him, well, November 10, 1990.

Calvin is probably going to end up at the next day, where the teacher is yelling at him for not completing his assignment.

There once was a lady named Bright,
Who could travel much faster than light.
She took off one day in an Einsteinian way
And arrived the preceding night.

In the last panel, Hobbes looks like he’s trying really hard to think inside the box.
