    I know what will make Mom’s life easier. Get Rosalyn, the babysitter, to move in permanently.

    Sweaters work wonders, Calvin. They save lives every day.

    Here is a message from Dogsniff from yesterday.

    “I have received an email from gocomics. My banishment was for the mention of a porn site. I have apologized and informed them that it was an innocent mistake and I did not stand to benefit or profit from it in any way………

    They said they discussed it, and have banished me forever. If anyone would care to email them at support@uclick.com and speak up for me. It could help. I’ll be on the road again, but will try to check my messages. Thanks all, Dogsniff”

    If you would like to contact Dogsniff directly, his email address is 2tikijoe@earthlink.net.

    It appears that I used to have two Calvins in my house.

    With the cost of heating oil through the roof I usually keep the indoor temp around 63 degrees and I wear two long sleeve tee-shirts underneath a sweatshirt.

    When the kids were small they always tried to exist during the dark winter months dressed in only a flimsy tee-shirt and bare feet.
    I would tell them that as soon as they started to pay the oil-man they could turn the heater up.

    But we always had that same battle. Everyday.

    I always won.

    Reminds me of several kids I know, they complain if it’s to cold or to hot.

    My argument, and so too should it be Calvin’s, how will a sweater, cardigan, jumper, pull-over etc. warm our hands? We need gloves or mittens…

    @JohnnyDiego

    My dad used to crank up the heat to 80 and run around in his undershorts. In the summer he wanted the house at 68…go figure.
    My parents fought all the time. Not just about the thermostat, but that was more fuel to the fire.

    I always told my kids:

    You can complain about the cold weather or you can complain about the hot weather.

    You can’t complain about both.
