Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Nearly everyone comes to this site looking for humor in one form or another, but many are not looking simply for humor. In particular, the Calvin and Hobbes group has many people who are looking for something more than simple humor, because the Calvin and Hobbes strip is not simply about humor. It often touches on much deeper issues.
Many people here have commented that negative attacks, such as those by ribbie149 this past week, detract from their enjoyment of this site. If everyone understands what is behind the negative attacks and participates in flagging them, we can all enjoy this site more fully, including the humor.

We must be careful not to confuse passive aggression with sarcastic banter. Tricky!
