Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Schlitz is the kind of gusto I can do without and Mom’s wrath is the kind of gusto Calvin can do without.

@Deanna175 I see that Calvin’s going to be on a postage stamp. The others in the series put him in good company…..I was surprised to see that Peanuts was not among the cartoons though….
LX013 said, about 1 month ago
Calvin on a postage stamp? On which one?
jrbj said, about 1 month ago
Don’t be judgmental. If it gets him off to school just go for it.
mexdr1958 said, about 1 month ago
In July the post office will be releasing a “comic strips” series in the stamps, and guess who is there? Yep. Unfortunately, there is only one stamp of Calvin and Hobbes makin funny faces for the camera.
They (C & H) shouls have a complete plate of 20 satmps, IMHO.
mexdr1958 said, about 1 month ago
It takes an uncommon mind to think in uncommon ways, Calvin.
Do not listen to Hobbes.
You do not want to be a conformist, do you , Calvin?
bleeep the consequences, go for it!!
pamlicorat said, about 1 month ago
@witewater, The Peanuts gang have already been on stamps.

If my son had asked my permission every time he planned to go for gusto, he would have been in a lot less trouble. And pain.
On the other hand, his life would have been pretty boring.

Last year here in SC KS we got a good view of the space shuttle and ship in orbit. The local news said it would be close and last only 5 min view time so true.
I wonder if Calvin just planing his own adventure and mom gets a call from school saying he never showed up. And Calvin rides school bus.
ancalagon said, about 1 month ago
has someone seen the strip where c&h drew a map of “mount vertigo “? It was “operation Kapow”
Avon said, about 1 month ago
kab2rb, I’ve heard of “NOLA” and “NY, NY”, but what’s “SC KS”? I thought Sioux City was in a Dakota or something. “Small City, Kansas”?
MontanaLady said, about 1 month ago
Check out the time when the shuttle departs the station. If you’re lucky, and a clear sky, you can see both in orbit, just a little bit away from each other.
You can find the times on www.spaceflight.NASA.gov
That will take you to the home page, and you can navigate from there to see the sightings from your town
