But there are clouds…and every cloud has a silver lining!

Look for the silver lining Whenever clouds appear in the blue Remember somewhere the sun is shining And so the right thing to do is make it shine for you

A heart full of joy and gladness will always banish sadness and strife So always look for the silver lining And try to find the sunny side of life

6-year-olds learn physics now? I know, I know. Calvin’s vocabulary alone is better than a lot of 18-year-olds (and older).

His only hope will be to forget to hit the ground.

Pride goes before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall Proverbs 16:18

I hope Calvin doesn’t have “an haughty spirit” here.

Unluckily a man fell out of an aeroplane, Luckily he had a parachute. Unluckily the parachute wouldn’t open, Luckily there was a haystack below. Unluckily there was a pitchfork in the haystack, Luckily he missed the pitchfork. Unluckily he missed the haystack.

    Wonder where Calvin will land….

That’s a long fall. Will this be the end of our dear Calvin. Or by some miraculous fate will he be saved by an unknown force.

We’ll have to “string along” with Calvin another day to find out, but it looks as if “The string has run out.”

“I have the world on a string Sitting on a rainbow Have the string around my finger What a world, what a life I’m in love” (with Susie?)

I’ve heard something like it, but that’s good uma7c!

    I’ve heard of a needle in a haystack, but a pitchfork… That’s devilish!

Yogi Berra said, “If you see a fork in the road, take it!

If you see a (pitch)fork in a haystack, avoid it!

ladywolf17, That’s a long fall…after a long summer (a week of it anyway) up in the air. I hope Calvin (and many others) gets saved by the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ who died to pay the penalty for our sins.

“Jesus paid it all All to Him I owe Sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow”

Gweedo Murray, I’ve been running all during “The Long Hot Summer” How about a Puddle(glum) of sweat? Calvin will have to sweat it out one more day. Maybe he can pull some strings (one anyway) and get out of this dilemma. Otherwise, he might have a rude awakening… from Hobbes?
