    I’d think I’d read it more critically. I’d expect a genius, much less a super-genius, to have more insight and understanding. And know how to use spellcheck.

    Uh, yeah—because pencils have spellcheck.
    Also, genius doesn’t give you insight, experience does. And Calvin has a good understanding of subject matter that interests him. No one with the kind of imagination he has is going to be a dummy, that’s for sure, however lacking in common sense they might be.
