If that’s a ten-foot pole, then they’re not interested in contact.

Not to get religious or anything, but yesterday’s Old Testament reading in church was Adam and Eve and the serpent. Even though it doesn’t say “apple” in the text, that’s how we always portray it. With that in mind, I couldn’t help noticing the fruit being used as bait to tempt Dr. Mel and Winky.

Did you know that snake had legs before the Fall of Man? True, nuff!

Crude but effective. However, if you want to trap an adult male you need a hooker as bait, not a hook with bait.

I once heard an old folktale about snakes who asked God to be allowed to live with people. They were told by God that people loathed them because of their slimy skin, the way they hissed, the long serpent-like shape of their body, and lack of legs. These snakes were granted legs, a wider body (except at their trailing end), and fur. They were also given a sound that pleased humans to replace the hissing. They were then welcomed by people into their homes. They still, however, liked to eat mice, and would frequently try to stretch themselves back into their old shape. They would also revert to their old way of hissing when they became angry. Those snakes are today known as “cats”.
