    I was thinking something along the line of "Open wide and scream, “AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!” Your original didn’t seem at all offensive. Of course, I’m also thinking rectal thermometer.

    I think we’re all over ANALyzing this cartoon. My thoughts on the other thermometer were the same,although a little late in posting them.

    I think the syndicate should have let the original through, but this way does leave the “could be worse” interpretation up to the imagination
