    Actually, he’s being railroaded…

They’ve engineered a new contract, and they’re right on track to brake the unions.

They’re pressuring him to sever all ties… Is that any way to conduct themselves?

Father’s day’s a coming: Lift up the railroad track, mother, while I get the ties for dad.

After one too many Orange Blossom Specials I got loose in the caboose with the fireman’s daughter. When asked why the caboose, I said because it was too hard to corner her in the roundhouse.

I tried to post a comment on the origin of “featherbedding” but the censors wouldn’t permit it on.

It had to do with a horsehair pad to prevent damage to the engineer’s elbow in the early 20th century.

The union wanted protection, management rather cripple employees than spend fifty cents.

JMC - I guess I was trained that way. I was trying to track down some common sense with a search engine, but I got derailed.

Baldy — Thanks for asking, but I read Luann every day, and sometimes the comments.

I do comment now and then.

But I’ve been very busy for a few weeks, and usually post at1 or 2 in the morning.

When I wade into 150 comments. and a lot of fussing and feuding, I’m just too tired. I’ll be back.

Sorry, I don’t understand what you meant by “the “corrective” nature of the strip” — but honestly, I’m never bothered by anything in it.

And Beau Honkus — you sly dog!

For all you railroaders there is now a railroad dictionary by William E Wood. You can find it on Amazon.com and other places.

@Susan, I agree that sometimes a huge number of comments are too many to read, much less add to.
