She’s caught in the middle of two worlds and doesn’t have the maturity to handle it. I wonder if her parents have discussed this with her? Just have to wonder what she’s going through.

It didn’t matter before up until around the growth of Captalism, the Enlightenment and the idea of “species of human” came about in the 17th century. Before it was important whether you were Christian, Jew, Islamic or Pagan. Skin color etc really didn’t scan. Then after when the idea of White Supremacy came about and the “hierarchies of color” came about and changed things. No more were whites enslaved only those of darker hues.

no one should be in denial about their heritage.
I speak as a father of 4 half and half kids, whose mother is also half and half(Japanese and Korean, and if you don’t think that she was treated badly in Korea growing up you haven’t any idea)

The idea of “White Supremacy” is only an idea among some people of the white race. Are you really that naive to think that the Arabs, Africans and Chinese didn’t have their own version of their own feelings of supremacy? The Chinese certainly did. As for slavery, the Arabs and Ottomans were the biggest traders, long before the European/Colonial slave trade, and they slaved whites as well as those of “darker hues,” long after the Euro/Colonial slave trade.

But yea, at least someone gets the fact that skin color wasn’t always as prevalent as it has been for the past 200 years.
