Radish: when looking at the map, it was kinda’ interesting that they were in “red states”, and you can throw in that they’re also the states ranked with the worst health care in the “civilian” sector! Is there a coincidence?
BTW: a stage four liver cancer guy goes to VA for the first time, and has to wait six weeks to get in for treatment, and dies before the appointment. How many stage four cancer folks, elderly too boot, DO die before being “treated”?
I heard the same “we’ll fix it” regarding VA from “W”, GHW, Clinton (who actually DID improve the process!), Reagan, and Nixon.
But as Shinseki was the one who told “W” and Cheney what would really be required in Iraq, so they fired him, because he was right, and Rumsfeld was wrong, he of course should be fired again for trying to actually help the vets.
How about looking into how many of those policy issues were written by "W"s folks? The problems aren’t new, and are more complex than a single appointee, especially when his department is still full of appointees from the previous administrations.
