Mom and Pop’s Greasy Spoon on the corner of First and Main. It’s finger-lickin’ good!

Visited Oregon for work. We went out to a “country pub”, somewhere outside Portland, for lunch. The menu was “burgers” and they were huge, chunky things served with rough cut fries (skin on). Behind the bar was a sign:

“This isn’t MacDonalds. If you don’t like the way we make it, don’t ask for it.”

that is the whole premise of the show diners, drive-ins, and dives.

I’ve always had a sneaking suspicion the “special sauce” on the Big Mac is actually “Soylent Green”.

Woolworth’s lunch counter, back when they had hardwood floors, made a great burger.

You have to be older than 30 to realize it’s far better to avoid all three of those like the Plague.
Gotta find a pub where your burger is made FRESH!

You can only find them in certain areas of the country though. I also find the name to be misleading since I’m usually In, waiting 20 minutes, and then Out . . . not because the staff is slow, but because the lines are that long.

Oh yes…not to mention the milkshakes. The Grilled Cheese sandwich was pretty good too.
