This high-flying single-panel comic spotlights and savors the foibles, stupidity, and goofiness of our colorful unnatural world. It's all about attitude, as the denizens of Bluemel's realm devote themselves to surviving life's pitfalls, whether nesting in quicksand or coping with the technological advances of the tapeworm. From word play to fowl play, from weirdness in the wilderness, to the irony of iron ore, Birdbrains makes the offbeat seem natural. It's a feature to laugh at: if it makes you think, you're working too hard.

They remind me of Regulan Blood Worms.

They look like Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon from “Some Like it Hot”…….
Those roof shingles look like nose profiles …..

ML, more like Jack Lime from their color.
Looks like there are letters in the grass between her horn and his forward-facing cowlick.

LEST WE FORGET
I’m glad to see “BC” writers Mastroianni and Hart haven’t forgotten … but nearly every cartoonist has decided their strips aren’t good enough for posting Remembrance/Armistice/Veterans Day accolades in. SHAME ON YOU THOM!

@Allan
Personally, I’m glad that not everyone is doing a Remembrance Day strip. We still need to laugh as well as remember.

What GROG said. Vietnam era vet here — didn’t go there though. I tested stuff for use there (sort of, as a meteorologist, I made sure the tests were done in relevant weather).

Allan The list of men from our church who died in the great wars included one of the clergy who went as a chaplain.

More like “Go Home Martians”! How about “Take me to your Mascot?”

I’d rather have a laugh… My POW status in the Philippines is not any joy to remember.
