The chicken came first. God doesn’t lay any eggs.

The egg came first. Reptiles were laying eggs millions of years before chickens evolved.

I’d like to see an interim stage there. Having degrees in both bio and geo, I had to take the classes, but never saw anything in the fossil record that made sense the way it was explained. Too many problems/errors that were glossed over. I figure that any time that science itself contradicts a “scientific” idea, that idea is not scientific.

The question should be in the future tense… “Which WILL come first, the chicken or the egg?”.

In Justin Bieber’s case, first came the eggs, then he played chicken …

Not only that, but God would have had to create the chicken as a whole being and not as an embryo in order for the chicken to come first. A chicken with no back story? That would be a pretty shoddy production, unworthy of an all-powerful being who creates the whole universe from beginning to end as one whole entire thing.
(Unless one’s God is hobbled and weak and unable to work within his own creation.)

I’ve long contended that the chicken is the root of all evolution. Whenever somebody comes up with a “novel” meat, they always say “’It tastes just like chicken.”

The diner special is “mother and child reunion.” A menu like that inspired the Paul Simon song.

I do love me some dead mothers bathed and cooked in the viscera of their dead children (aka grilled chicken omelet).

A chicken is just an eggs way of making another egg.
