They don’t? When did we stop eating Turkey at Christmas? Ham seems to be more of an Easter thing around here.

It makes them even, they are both traditional holiday food, both holidays

Yeah, most people here are happy on Christmas for their salivation more than their salvation.

My family has turkey for Christmas here as well – I live 9 miles (15 km) from the former flagship Hershey chocolate factory (it’s been closed and production moved to a nearby facility).
Ham is usually an Easter tradition around here, but since I stopped eating pork about 5 years ago, I’ve had to find other traditions. I like to say, “No swine when I dine” and “No pork on my fork”!

I haven’t eaten animal flesh on holidays for most of my life … but don’t mind breaking bread with those that do …

Turkeys are for Xmas… A puppy is for life!

I grew up with big Thanksgiving turkey dinners…and buffet-style lunch at my aunt’s house at Christmas. Never had a big sit-down Christmas dinner.

I like that your comment added absolutely nothing to this discussion, and yet also managed to be all about you.

I feel sorry for you. No bacon, pork roll or scrapple. What a shame.
