    They don’t? When did we stop eating Turkey at Christmas? Ham seems to be more of an Easter thing around here.

    We have Turkey AND Ham at Christmas in Aus. (No Thanksgiving here.)

    My family has turkey for Christmas here as well – I live 9 miles (15 km) from the former flagship Hershey chocolate factory (it’s been closed and production moved to a nearby facility).
    Ham is usually an Easter tradition around here, but since I stopped eating pork about 5 years ago, I’ve had to find other traditions. I like to say, “No swine when I dine” and “No pork on my fork”!

    I haven’t eaten animal flesh on holidays for most of my life … but don’t mind breaking bread with those that do …

    I grew up with big Thanksgiving turkey dinners…and buffet-style lunch at my aunt’s house at Christmas. Never had a big sit-down Christmas dinner.
