That’s exactly what every man needs. The blessing of a good wife before he goes out into the harsh world of reality.

Ohhhhh… NOW I know why Thelma was standing in line with two wire-mesh strainers instead of one,
when I ran into her a couple of weeks ago.

We were both shopping late at the Ballard and Chestnut Mega FoodMart and Saddle Shop.

I asked her whether she wanted me to put one back on the rack for her….
    and she giggled….

    Er… I had no idea
    I mean….
    it was unintentional, you know…

Behind every great man is a woman urging him on. So it was with my Stella. She urged me out into space – not that she meant to. But with her continual confounded nagging…well I think of her constantly. And every time I do I go further out into space.

Then she plays a little tune on the xylophone skirt.
