We were both shopping late at the Ballard and Chestnut Mega FoodMart and Saddle Shop.

I asked her whether she wanted me to put one back on the rack for her….and she giggled….

I’m very much into costumes. Over the years I made many for my kids (but even more for myself when I was younger and now again in re-enactments). We have some crazies among the SCA folks that I know (belly dancers and pirates) and my love of costumes does not stop with those.

I woke up this morning with a lovely breeze blowing in my window (curtains and even my topsheet fluttering) and had to check the weather first thing (71F and 21%RH perfect for morning .. . )

Our whole area here in DFW area has gone on full storm alert. 7pm or later. The cap over us is falling apart and by 3 or 4pm the storms will start going super cell.Looks like a long night ahead.

Praying you stay safe! It has been non-stop coverage of the storms here since Sunday, when a tornado stuck the extreme S.W. end of town, and killed 2 elderly men, and went through the center of Carney.Today, so far, we’ve had repeated bouts of thunderstorms with strong winds ,rain, and some hail moving through the already affected areas, but thankfully, not sirens blaring. I’m really ready for it to stop.

If that’s a blessing, I’d hate to see her curse!I hope that all those here are safe, as well as loved ones and friends.

Stormy was big for a female, up to 12 lbs at her heaviest, but usually about 8 lbs.Mua, on the other hand, a male cat, weighed almost 29 lbs at his heaviest, but went down to about 15 lbs. on a diet.
