    Makes me wonder if they have identical-like names like some parents of twins do. Eduardo and Estuardo for example.

    @TEMPLO S.U.D.

    There was Rudy and Judy Tanaka, of the Santa Fe Roadrunners, a Major League Human Cannonball team. Identical twins, unfortunately for Judy, male.

    My family went with the name flip-flops (John Paul and Paul John) . Not that it might be confusing or anything.

    I went to school with 5 sets of twins and none of them were identical although one set looked identical. They had slight differences that you would never notice unless it was pointed out … then you saw it every time! The rest of the sets of twins look like siblings … they just didn’t look identical.

    It’s genetically impossible to have identical twins of opposite sexes. They both come from the same set as it were.

    Which one? The one with the mismatching shirt, obviously.

    KenTheCoffinDweller: The most famous flip-flop twins were Esther Pauline and Pauline Esther Rosenberg, both syndicated newspaper advice writers using the noms de plume of Ann Landers and Dear Abby [Abigail Van Buren].

    I have some friends with identical twin boys named Steffan and Mitchell. The boys have two older sisters (non-twins) named Madison and Mackensie. Sometime I wonder if Steffan feels left out.

    Interesting thing about them: Ann held a long standing grudge against her twin for starting an advice column. Ann’s daughter still carries the grudge. I guess there wasn’t enough room for the two. Meanwhile Ann always gave the advice to turn the other cheek when others horned in on your business turf. Ann also counseled to never hold a grudge and to always forgive others and that this especially applied to siblings. Ann also always advised that kids shouldn’t eat too much while her own butt was a wide load.
