    I like this kid: books take us to frozen moments in the past and the future all through an author’s mind.

    No better treasure than books.

    As much as its true – the last frame is a bit overdone :)

    @TEMPLO S.U.D.

    You betcha. When I was about eight years old (fifty-five years ago, now), I discovered a box in the trailer behind my aunt’s house. Close enough to a treasure chest – it was full of books! First edition Tarzan books, so it qualified as a treasure, for sure!

    I read several books a day when I was a little girl, now that I’m grown with my own children I’m lucky if I can read one in three weeks.

    @Salinasong

    When I was a boy my father’s sister (an “old maid” school teacher) gave me Robert L. Stevenson’s books … they kept me occupied, and very happy, for weeks.

    Between comic books, drawing and going to the library during the Summer it was a great time.

    A real treasure chest would be very small and contain more books on a thumbdrive or SD card.

    @Potrzebie

    There is something intimate about holding a book in your hands and flipping its pages that cannot be duplicated with an electronic copy of that book.

    @Dave. It is realistic. My ten year old granddaughter reads most of her free time. They went on a weekend trip to Branson and when her mother woke up my granddaughter was sitting in the bathroom reading so she wouldn’t wake anyone up!

    Five boys: Best thing to do in Branson.
