Have a great holiday then and enjoy your drive. Or are you not driving because traffic will be too heavy?

I click on to arcamax.com to read comics that aren’t here.
One of them is “Beetle Bailey”.
It seems that Mort Walker has continued with the physical violence that has pretty much ended on this strip.
Commentators have remarked on how in today’s real life army, Sarge would never get away with beating Beetle to a pulp as he does.

    Shalom, SUSAN!

Yes, I’ve seen those comments. Of course, the best way to respond to those people (if you must do so) is to remind them it’s only a comic. Still, I have to wonder what would result if Mort ever decides to have Beetle bring charges upon Sgt. Snorkel. Until that happens, we can only speculate.

How was your Rosh Hashana? Ours ended with a Tashlich service by the pond behind the Temple at 4 pm, which was followed at 5 by a Shabbat Shuvah service at the pond. After the services, we started back to the building to put the folding chairs away, and we saw once again the porcupine who loves to feast on the apples from the tree in front of the Temple. Maybe we’ll adopt him as the Temple “mascot”? Everyone with a cameraphone took videos.

Six panels, three of them unneeded.

Honestly, The Three Stooges should really consider using fewer panels on Sunday. Some Sunday comics, such as “Daddy’s Home,” “Lio,” et al., consist at times of only one panel.

Might the Porcupine’s name be “Honey”?
