    Good morning Alleygators and Oopsters!

Well, Guz has basically established to Doowee why Wizer is in the Pit and I for one can’t to see how this plays out.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 18 “The Everlasting Man-thing”(65) 5/16/2013 Thursday

    Panel One

“If we don’t do something the most important living relic on the planet will be taken by the most mysterious and dangerous group on that same planet. No one who was in areas taken over by these vampires have ever been heard from again. Things are touchy in Europe anyway before it happened and now half the world’s economies are teetering. This will be a further blow.” Jinx told them as they walked trying to find the Baldander using Corinne’s powers. (She only has so much energy and she isn’t inclined to take manna from the surrounding life unless in an emergency.)

    Panel Two

As they did the night had finally fallen and the night-time chirps and squeals and buzzing started up in the very dark jungle. Alley’s night sight is better than most humans.ª
“Follow me I can see better than you two.” Alley told them and the two women got behind him, Corinne using her abilities to surf the etheric sphere to find the particular life frequency of the Baldander.

    Panel Three

The Baldander itself is collecting more information than ever before with new organs it never had before, copying from Corrine and her powers. It had to monitor and filter so that information overload won’t paralyze it. With only slight changes to its outer appearance Baldander found the strange and deadly ship hovering near finding it with what would be invisible beams. It also expanded its sphere of
sensate to find each and every one coming at or near it both human, near human, infected human, vampire, reanimated dead and the lubins with their keen senses, hungers sharpened by an intellect honed to fulfill their primal impulses. Some of which have been altered by the vampires to work with their own predatory predilections. Baldander will be ready to move to escape soon.
ªA tapetum lucidum (Latin: “bright tapestry”, plural tapeta lucida) lining the back of his eye allows him to have a natural light enhancing ability to his night vision plus the human perception methods and ocular irises. Not as good as a house cats but 10X better than the current Homo sapient.

(Certainly important from the few night predators in Moo like the Zamodon who climb trees and have venom laden fangs and the Xooloo spiders that like to dig in the earth, weave a trap door of silk, branches and leaves over it, then grab a person or animal with their chela then go under ground very fast.

Too fast to catch. Some say that is why Wootiewoot disappeared all those years ago. Who knows really?)

    • You can see one in the underground world of “The Black Scorpion.” It chases a child. Look up “King Kong spiders”

I’m going to go out on a limb here(not too far out) and predict the next thing this pest will ask is if the Wizer has been read his Miranda Rights….

don’t you mean the “Mesosaurus rights”? or is Miranda the cousin of someone from Moo? ;)

Apparently, lawyers were stupid pests even back then.

Guz hearing the eyewitness evidence of Wizer and declaring him worthy of being thrown in the pit was the trial.

I think Doowee has to bring in his partners Cheatem and Howe.

Seems Bender-hell-U-broker has decided to bring law and order to Moo. And that dear reader is just one more step toward the total destruction of the comic strip once known as Alley Oop.

Remember what Shakespeare said about lawyers.

I know APOI can speak for himself, but I don’t think he’d mind me interjecting my thought. The reason why is that if the cartoonists continue to divest King Guz of his powers and continues to wimpify the title character, there will be nothing left to this so-called adventure strip.

Next legal question: Did you (Guz) read the accused his Miranda rights? That should get Guz going!

yes, some say this mess is merely a re-boot and we should just accept it. in fact, as david and apoi say, the benders are killing a classic strip before our eyes.
and i would be remiss not to mention the return of the creepy floating leaves of total useless inanity … with a vengence!
