. Its a holding move in mahjong. The lawyer and the red and blue books represent the loose threads of Ooola (red dress) and Lola (blue dress). If you have played the game, you know what i mean.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 18 “The Everlasting Man-thing”(53) 5/4/2013 Saturday

    Panel One

“It is learning sir, and learning very fast. Don’t know if the Baldander can speak or read all the languages that Corinne knows, but probably that too.” Jinx told him.

    Panel Two

“I recall how stiff you were when you first joined the COTU corps.”
Jinx had to smile at that, she was so nervous then years ago, back when they changed from the yellow back to the original dark purple but with the added yellow stripes on the arms and legs of their uniforms. It was Matthew “Red” Ryan himself who was there to judge whether she was worthy to join them.

    Panel Three

“Hey, how is he doing that?” Alley exclaimed as Baldander imitated Corinne in levitation of objects.
“For all the things the Baldander is it can also work magick.” Corinne answers.
(Magick-a means of manipulating the exocosm by channeling cosmic energies through organs rarely used by most to perform what others would mistakenly call “miracles.”)

This is really puzzling as to what the Benders have in mind.
So far I can see Mr. Doowee in for a doozy of a bruising then pit treatment for an indeterminate time.

Well, give the attorney +2 for determination, and willingness to face an angry cave-king in order to help a client.
If “the king of the jungle jive” told me going the other way was the smart move, you can bet I’d take his advice.

Quite a change from the Alley Oop we grew up with, isn’t it?

I normally don’t go through the comments, but has anyone noted that lawyers only argue the law of whatever jurisdiction they are in? If Guz’ word is law in Moo, just what basis is this lawyer going to argue on?

It would be great to see reruns of some of the old comic strips from when I was a kid. They run some of the newer ones as reruns when the artist retired. Anyone remember “Grandma”? Bringing up Father? aka Jiggs. Some can be read on another site but when the price got up to 20 dollars a year. I quit subscribing.

Yet another blow to Alley Oop. Reduced to a penny anny version of Law and Order.

The lawyer will fast talk Guz and bamboozle him into letting Wizer go. Another great character will bite the dust (Guz) and we’ll be off on another “adventure” as Wizer creates havoc once again only to have Alley save the day (once again) by beating up another hapless dinosaur.
