    Good morning, Alleygators!

Guess Guz doesn’t know any better because Wizer is threatening him.

Not a bad start to a new storyline, so let’s see how this one goes, okay?

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 18 “The Everlasting Man-thing”(35) 4/16/2013 Tuesday

    Panel One

Back from the meal with flash lights, machetes (rented,) water and hard rations the threesome head back to the jungle to hunt for the elusive cryptid.

    Panel Two

The two women marvel at Alley’s blue tick hound level sense of smell. Sniffing the ground with those wide nostrils flaring. Corinne is trying to locate the beast with her powers while Jinx does a motion sensor sweep, they all read nothing respectively. Corinne does have an “echo” of a possible detection so they spread out and go in that direction to search.

    Panel Three

At one point they walk right past it. (The Baldander is quiet as it reads, very fast too. It has altered its odor to be of lilacs and honeysuckle.)

    Panel Four

They walk far enough to meet again in a strange clearing. There are few plants growing in it and no trees. In the direct center is a rather large sculpture. Carved out of the local basalt with some

dolomite trimming of it. All covered in vines of a poisonous nature. It is one of the originals of the bronze copies seen in the village. It is of the primal sea and air god Kurutulu.

“Scary looking thing,” Alley finally breaks the silence.
“Yes,” Corinne starts to say," it and others like it permeate the South Pacific all the way to India and parts of China to Mongolia. Notice the six sea green eyes, three on each side of it human-like head. To signify it can look all over the world to track any evil doers in the world. Above, on the earth and below in the sea. To turn it red with the blood of the unjust." Then she bowed to it.

And once again, Wizer demonstrates that he just doesn’t get it.

Still moving at a snail’s pace, but at least there’s an attempt at having some background art, and it doesn’t even look copy-pasted.

Have to agree with you there, banishment is the only way to deal with persistent trouble makers

Yes, banish him to Lem. Tunk, with his non-stop plans to take over Moo, and Wizer with the anti-Moovian chip on his shoulder. An excellent idea to promote the safety of Moo.

    Just sayin’.

Y’know, that pit is a hazard. I think it would be great if everybody rolled boulders into it until it was level with the surrounding ground.

In other words, rock the Wizer to sleep with real rocks?

Banish Wizer, he goes to Lem perfects his formula gathers dinosaurs, takes over then moves to attack Moo. He wants everyone to respect him. And for Wizer that is a show of fear and fealty to him.

A sad morning greetings to the Benders and readers of
Alley Oop. My sympathies goes out to the families and the victims in Boston. Even though the Wizer is in the pit, he keeps up the facade of what a great and powerful person he is. Too bad the time machine isn’t working or Alley could
have Doc Wonmug drop the Wizer on a desert island in
    another time era.
