Guz, that’s the understatement of the year!

Well, Alleygators and Oopsters, hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend, so I bid you a fond hug-a-hug-a-pouncies!

Guz got that one right. This story is definitely a bit insane.

For those who say they are satisfied with the Lazy Bees’ work, can you explain the Wizer’s hand in the 2nd panel? I don’t think I have ever seen the use of a hand like this in any other comic but Jack does it all the time.

Like our government, when things don’t go as planned, just fess up… Oh wait a min… that’s NOT what they do.

@Unca Scrooge—-That is Wizers left hand as you say, & it is in a normal gesture position, as Wizer is making a statement. Because of its position, it almost looks like it could be Guzs left hand. Better if they had shown the hand & arm connected to Wizer instead of the zoomed in view.

Actually it is Oops hand (he has ducked down out of view). Will he grab the beard, the hat…. ?

Forgive, if I was wrong, but I was trying to suggest a G rated family friendly explanation of what Alley might possibly be doing down there…

@Seiko—-I like your explanation better! I think that ummm, Alley dropped his ax & was just out of sight picking it up, & only his hand showed in the panel.

Well I guess we have to wait for Monday to see whose guess was right…

The hand doesn’t bother me as much as the fact that Jack was too lazy to draw Oop in the second panel. In panel one, Oop is between Wizer and Guz. Then in panel two, Oop is upstaged by Guz and simply disappears. In Oop’s place, Jack simply photocopies a hand that we assume to be Wizer’s. This is an example of the laziness that Unca Scrooge and I and others keep talking about.

The hand doesn’t bother me. The fact that Wizer is a little out of character confessing like that surprises me, but can’t say it bothers me. After all how entertaining would it be if we could predict everything. Good story. I give it four stars out of five.

The whole toon action is easy to read. Wizer is giving his explanation in panel 1 and between panels he has turned wave Gus and Oop off and walk away. Guz (in his anget pushed Oop away and charged Wizer.
Granted, it may take some imagination to deduce that.
Is Wiser insane? That dude is certifiable.
The men in the white coats from the institution on the outskirts of town have been called.

How is it lazy to draw a hand that isn’t necessary to the scene? You want lazy drawing, check Ernie Bushmiller.
