Periodically in the Mokele society, all members of their society take turns at different jobs over a period of time. One of which is sentry duty and the latest ones are working. Projecting their minds and thoughts out for many miles in all directing including deep into the earth. Nothing can escape their scanning. Their own brains and senses are far stronger than any equipment they could manufacture.

The EM sensors in and on Avenger react to the energy flux and is relayed back to Oscar and the rest.

“Bring her back now!”Shouts Lavainge over the comm link. Hurting Oscar’s ears.
Panel Four
Avenger abruptly turns back but it is too late. The Mokele knows something is close, but they don’t yet know it is more humans from a paralled earth heading toward their domain than a dinosaur or blue mammoth in their vicinity.
Good cold winter morning to the Benders and all. Nice to see dancing at the party. Wizer is automatically invited but wants a special invitation. I see trouble ahead.
I’d rather see a story than dancing. This is a reoccuring theme for Carole with one of the characters getting mad for no reason just so there is some kind of conflict.
A contrived plot like this is weak. This would be some kind of filler space. As if they don’t have story ideas that could fill up the next two years alone. (Saving Lola and brining her back to Earth 2 would do it.)
I agree with Night-Gaunt49. This petty, contrived, “who’s nose is out of joint” nonsense doesn’t make a very good story line. There are plenty of dangling threads left over from aborted adventures to clean up on this strip.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
