The location of a strange energy wave finds them at some metallic heads protruding from the earth. Large ones with a single one near and a cluster of six close together not too distant. It was found that they are all vibrating in some kind of synchrony. When Carstairs, a geologist chipped off a piece they were nearly killed by three sound waves. But when it was reunited it bonded as if it had never been knocked off in the first place!
Greater care is being taken with the reptile head-like sculptures. Not unlike some found on various places on earth one. Certainly about half as large as the Olmec heads. But they represent no human head and faces. One of their Anthropologists say it is probably “totemic” in nature.
Panel Two
Until they can put satellites up they are using slow moving drones with a long flight time to do the ariel mapping in the mean time. After the heads have had their frequency located a monitor has been put on them 24/7 and their scanners now can locate the frequency automatically. Another overlay of the lines of force that have been located radiating between the heads further and further away from here. They suspect they may go around this earth. But what is their purpose? Besides the anthropologists and the metallurgists and the physicists getting all excited, so are the folklorists and the geophysicists! Along their base are some kind of characters, unknown to earth one.
Panel Three
Strange monkeys that are really birds are seen climbing and swinging in the trees! The evolutionary biologists will be tickled pink over it. That and living dinosaurs all over the place. Though ones that never became extinct or transmogrified by the strange energies that successively changed most life on earth over the eons. Why humans and near humans like Alley Oop lived with dinosaurs. Nothing else makes sense.
Panel Four
Lola has been demonstrating her incredible power over animals. Even the bigger carnivores. It jibes with what Alley an the other astronauts said in the after action report from their trip here the first time over a year ago. She said it is taught in her tribe. How they keep the dinos and other creatures in line so that they can live. Without it they would have been wiped out long ago. She claims she can teach him how to do it. He’ll wait and see. She got him a dinosaur ride. Her’s is a bright red color and his is an ebony black. Medium sized bipeds with fine serrated teeth, fish eaters mostly. He didn’t know what species they are but one of the paleontologists will tell them sometime, with circulars to follow.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
