Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(118) 11/28/2012
Panel One
They make it outside and see bright flashes coming from the house and that rumbling fury of sound from the alien as it yells its thunderous fury. Lavainge records it.
Panel Two
They see Hank Kimball with an assault rifle come up to them a wild look in his eyes. “Did you see it, it is amazing!” He points to the mansion now alight with bright lights.
Panel Three
A military HUMVEE in Air Force colors pulls up and some Military Police get out along with Nobu McCarthy in her dark blue ops BDUs with the yellow “Sun Shine” logo on her shoulder. “What in hell is going on here?” she shouts, then she looks at the blue flashes coming from the mansion of secrets. “Oh my god.” she says stunned at it.
Counting down to himself Dr. Tucker goes “3…2…1”
Panel Four
In the sub sub basement the PNE gun reaches zero on the count down firmly in the ecto-protoplasmic body of the ancient energy creature who killed the mega fauna when it arrived on earth 10,000 years ago and is now about to become extinct as well. Then the PNE gun explodes within.
Panel Five
The explosion magnifies the anti-ectoplasmic pulse like a neutron bomb only the energies make every ecton particle repulsively charged so they scatter without mind or body. What they all see, except for Nobu’s special vision, is the house exploding in a huge blue fireball but exploding up more than out.
Panel Six
Most of the dissolved horror flies up into the sky, for the normal sighted it has some blue spots of light and they get a light rain of bluish to clear ectoplasm but not too bad. Nobu sees a bigger light show and blue pin points floating down with the light slimy rain. The great onrush of blue energy goes on and on into the air like it is going into space.
Panel Seven
Crawling out of the grounds were all manner of animals including some unnatural ones, left overs from the house’s past, leaving its now lost safety. They immediately scuttle into the thick under brush and tangle of kudzu in seconds.
Good morning Benders and all. It’s hard to comment positively on today’s strip since it seems very contrived. Alley has never called his axe anything but an “axe” and the security person came out of nowhere to overhear him. For once, the Benders have let us down.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
