Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(107) 11/17/2012
Panel One
Alley has finally met the Outsider. “Well, nice to meet you.” He put out his broad hand to shake but the Outsider kept his hands down at his sides.
Panel Two
“I wanted to meet you, to ask you not to have those others attack me.” The Outsider said in a strange lilting whisper. He didn’t have much in the way of lips.
Panel Three
“Uh, sure, if they can ever see you that is.”
Panel Four
“They have visual plates that allowed them to see the harmless ghost-orb spiders so they will eventually find me.” He replied delicately.
Panel Five
“Why don’t you leave?” Alley asked.
Panel Six
“It is not yet time, my Brown Jenkin hasn’t yet come to take me through the multi-planar levels of space-time-vug.” He said cryptically. “I must stay here till the witching hour to leave with her to guide me through hyperspace.”
Uh oh. Or in my version he is just busy at the secret Green Light project at one of the secret areas. (Not 51 but one of the others maybe 49 or 55 or even 22.)
For those just tuning in … Dr. Wonmug is a reference to Dr. A. Einstein. See, “Ein stein” in German means “one mug” in Englishmanish. Get it? Yeah, Good times.
The lab may be closed, but the time machine must still be running, or Oop and Ooola would not have been able to make the journey. Curious that they materialized outside the lab instead of inside.
Good Morning Benders and all. The time equipment is running on automatic. Perhaps it auto turned on after the equipment was turned off by the government. If Alley can’t find Dr Wonmug perhaps Dr Bronson at the Bronsonian Institute can them him what happened.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
