Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(63) 10/4/12

The next morning the paranormal investigator group with the Baroness freshened up, but in pairs then had food to eat. Most of them are Ready-To-Eat because they aren’t there to dine. Alley had no problem with the military style rations, not much different from his own people’s version of pemmican and jerky. Dried and flavored to last a long time and to be easily carried.
Panel Two
Once they are done Dr. Tyler Tucker had something to tell them, what he gleaned from his experiences last night when the invisible force of the house, of this land had him in its grip.
Panel Three
He stands up and begins,“…I conceived the idea that what insinuated itself in the land , the house, the very life forms of the region is a maligning sentient thing-—-a dead vampire creature which sucked something out from out of those within and implanted in them the seeds of some immaterial and horrific psychic growth…which sets things under a pall of darkness, a faint miasmal tangibility in the circumambient air…something unwholesome——something furtive, something vast and old lying subterraneanly in obnoxious slumber till we arrived.”
Is it win you lose or lose you win? I think for Alley Oop, Yochi has fooled him. Alley wins he loses his head, if he loses he still doesn’t win for Ooola will be out of his reach.
Wiselad is correct. The August 6 strip says that the loser loses his head. Oop asks Yochi, “Just outta curiosity, Yochi, what happens if I lose?” Yochi answers, “We cut off your head and sacrifice you to the gods, and I get to keep Ooola.” Let’s see if the Benders will be consistent on this point.
I think the Bender’s don’t have a clue or any idea what happens next. They probably read the comments section & make something up that seems to fit the majority of the ideas. In any case, this will drag out at for least another week.
No, I don’t think Yochi will loose his head or heart. I’m guessing that if anyone is sacrificed, Yochi’s second, his team mate, will take the fall. Even though, by actual Mayan standards, Yochi, as the king’s son, would make a fitting sacrifice.

I think Dr. Wonmug shows up just in time to save alley and ooola and they disappear right in front of Yochi and end up back in moo.

I hope you’re right! I don’t know anything about Mayan customs, but I would think the king would not sacrifice his son.
