Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(62) 10/3/12
Panel One
At the Carpathian mountain stronghold and lab, Dr. Dark’s pet project, a very personal one, is incubating in a transparent tube filled with a red translucent liquid and a shadowed short, stout form floating within. Connected to cables and wires and tubes monitoring its heart beat and vital signs and other tools of the Doctor’s trade.
Panel Two
He still dabbles in surgery but on a more sophisticated level than the ones he has been doing over the centuries. Nanites and viruses and hybrid molecular cyborgs do the delicate work after he designs and programs them to their intricate tasks. (Far better than mere scalpels.) His new project will make Alley Oop tremble like nothing he has ever experienced, not even in that House of the Worm will match it. And he will be able to savor every drop of it through his surrogate. The one gestating in the incubation tube.
Panel Three
While the paranormal investigators slumber they don’t see attempts by the forces in the ancient house to reach them. Each time a slimy transparent tendril, misshapen insect or glowing ball attempt to cross the line they vibrate tremendously then explode but with little sound. The sleepers are in REM and they are each dreaming of things fantastic, mundane and mirrors in metaphor of their deep seated thoughts and emotions of the waking mind. None of them woke up at the attempted intrusions, for them it was a quiet night.
No, I need to do it first thing. Most of the time I do unless I must see my doctor and have to get up early to take the buses I need to get to the hospital.
The astonishing Oop miracle shot astonishes the scribes and elders who push the end of the world date back several centuries. All the way to 2012, so unimaginably far into the future!!
#1- Yochi ignores the deal, has Oop siezed and declares he will marry Oola anyway.He then declares Oop will be sacraficed so the gods will bless the marriage. This could be dragged out for several weeks until Yochi’s father (who just happens to be out of town) returns just in the nick of time to put a stop to things. Then it would change over to #3
- Everything proceeds as advertised, Alley and Oola return to Moo & a new adventure begins.(BORING)
- Yochi is slated to be sacraficed as the loser and Alley & Oola must figure our how to rescue him!
Yeah, Yochi’s dad, the King, went up North, in Mexico, directing the building of a new empire and going to the local Pitz games for tension relief. He won’t be back anytime soon.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.

That was one heck of a game but Alley came through.
Hopefully he and Ooola can get back to Moo after all this.

I can see several likely scenarios:
