Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 14 “Dark Trail of Doom”(43) 7/24/12

    Panel One

The C4 an wiring that has been placed around the Erikon tube is checked again. The detonator is in Chet’s hands. He made sure that Oscar and the JTTF team leader knows how to use it and have one of their own for security redundancies.

    Panel Two

Alley Oop knows he has to move fast because these creatures, so dangerous in his own time, like to set up traps and feints to fool you while the other one or two attacks your back.

    Panel Three

Unlike the human resurrected corpses, the velociraptors are much faster with intelligence approaching humankind and have dodged the exploding darts of the roving hunting bolo so far.

    Nice backgrounds today too.

Unlike those comics you mention as a pralation, their owners creators drew them that way and no one else is doing them. Unlike Alley Oop where the Benders have been on it for 12 yers if you care to check the internet on that. Look at Alley Oop 1957 then get back to us on parallel relations with previous writers an illustrators of Alley Oop.

Yes, modern technology makes it easier to do back grounds so they can reproduce it and in fact make their job easier. The question is what else are the Benders working on?

Sorry but that would violate copywrite to do illustrations here of Alley Oop. Why I’m writing a non-canon story as is Larry. Just like with Dick Tracy before new writer and artist took over to raise its quality up to what it was originally if not just a little better. We want the same for Alley Oop. Check out how it was drawn previously before you criticize us for bitching where bitching is needed.

Goodness, Sleepy, I see no reason for the personal attack. This is a comment page and all I was doing was commenting.

They haven’t moved. Therefore it is the same background, just a little closer view. I like Ooola’s full figured look.

You can please all of the people some of the time*, some of the people all of the time, and some people just can’t be pleased— reason for the asterisk.

Look, at least Alley isn’t hiding in some bushes blubbering about how the bad guy is gonna kill him. I never forgot that in the worst strip I’ve seen in years (fortunately the strip has been rescued by the present team).

Who do you mean rescued? The Benders ?

Night-Gauntlet, the worst strip I’ve seen in years isn’t/wasn’t this one. The Benders, whatever their other faults, haven’t turned Alley into a blubbering coward. For that, you have to go back a bit and see Dick Locher’s version of Dick Tracy. Here, at least Alley is likely to grab his war axe and give the opponent “what for”. That’s a lot more than Locher’s “Tracy” would have done.

You can find from 1932 to 1999. And there are tons of strips that have very little to no background in them.

Sleepy’s comments are like an echo here, and with some others who are too shy to write.
