Oddly, this makes sense. But then again, I woke up this morning with my first (last!) head cold of the winter.

I narrowly missed (by only 200,000 miles) getting hit by an asteroid today. Good fortune never ends, does it?

just needs more details and it will be fine
I remember a science fiction writer who decided there were so many tales in which the earth barely survived, so the readers must be wanting the heroes to fail, so he wrote one in which the earth was destroyed.
Really not that different from Dr. Strangelove, when you get down to it.

Funny comment. I guess we all had that good fortune. We have nothing to complain about - except………….

I don’t think anyone will ever confuse Agnes with Pollyanna.

Yep, they were waiting for someone’s birthday or some other anniversary to announce the system already in place.
But the WRITERS wrote a script in which all but a few were killed and those few probably wouldn’t have survived a hundred years waiting for things to cool down — radiologically speaking..

“except for the name and a few other changes, you could talk about me… the story’s the same one.”
